Leader Registration

All packs are required to have leaders who have registered with the Spirit of Adventure council and the BSA. This ensures that leaders have been vetted through two background checks, a national background check and a Massachusetts state required background check. The process is simple and includes a small fee, which will be reimbursed by Pack 77.

All potential leaders will need to have an account on the https://my.scouting.org website. This account is created when registering a youth, so most leaders will already have an account. Once an account has been created, potential leaders must complete Youth Protection Training which is sometimes referred to as YPT. Upon completion of YPT, potential leaders need to complete a Massachusetts CORI background check form and then fill out an online Adult Application. The adult application will include a fee for registration. Please pay this fee and submit an email to the Pack Treasurer for reimbursement.

You should receive some confirmation emails throughout this process. Please forward those confirmation emails to the Pack's Committee Chair.
